Confirmation
The sacrament of confirmation completes the grace given in baptism. The sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and eucharist together make up the "sacraments of Christian initiation," making a particular human being a complete Christian.
In the sacrament of confirmation, through the anointing with sacred chrism and the words of confirmation, a person is sealed with the Holy Spirit, brought into deeper union with Jesus Christ, and receives the gifts of the Holy Spirit in an even deeper way than in baptism. The confirmed person is given the power to profess faith in Jesus Christ in the world.
Confirmation, like baptism, is of the utmost importance for every human being.
